Actually, I think that's a generic Tony illustration. No Shining Tears/Wind girl looks like that.

f

Shining Force EXA is nether Shining Tears nor drawn by Tony Taka.

Therefore, it's in the wrong category. Even because, other than the Shining name, Shining Tears/Wind and the Shining Force series per se have nothing to do with each other.

f

Yay for edited version right out of /b/.

f

Artist is Tony Taka, by the way.

f

Actually, "Yoakemae Yori Ruriiro Na" is the name of that game, which is from the same creators of Princess Holiday - that is, August Soft.

And I'm sure of that, by the way.

f

Huh, the wallpapers section is for postage of your own works... and that's Shinta's.

f

Huh, the wallpapers section is for the postage of your own works, not of official walls.

f

...the wallpaper section is for the members' own creations. You shouldn't post official wallpapers in it.

f

That wall/fence looks quite odd... sure, I can stand the stock retangle (although I don't think it looks good enough), but the greenish-golden things just don't fit the wall at all. Also, the fact it has no lighting variation is somewhat disturbing - even because Elwing's right leg/pouch are clearly lighted, if you get what I mean.

by the way, I have a feeling the girl is being more sunbathed than the shown sunrays imply, but whatever.

The bg is nice, though.

f

...wow. That's one nice perspective. It sure has a 3D feel on it.

Although I think the background is truly gorgeous, the character isn't as much. The outline isn't perfect (look at the knee, for instance) and I'm not sure if the glow helps.

However, once again, the background is basically perfect. The text is nice, as well.

f

Series is "Itsudatte my Santa!", original manga by Ken Akamatsu.

Just for the record.

f

That's from Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito. Surely.

f

The character's colours are dull, and the fence looks quite pixelated - and too 3d-ish, clashing with the character. The butterfiles look weird, the sky doesn't look very nighty (if it weren't for the moon and title, I wouldn't guess it), and the lens flare looks absolutely horrible.

Your sig is neither discreet nor artsy, so it fails.

It's a mediocre work, truthfully. However, you'll get a bunch of friendfavs, think I'm just being envious and keep the same level you've been showing in the last months.

Maybe even worse, since you seem to have commited even more mistakes in this one.

*shrugs*

f

The branches of the left, appearing beyond the leaves, look somewhat strange... you should cover them. Or delete them.

The Courier New font of the subtitle doesn't really fit... you should have gone for an usual serif font, I think.

Those sunrays are nice.

f

The grass looks a bit strange... I think the default grass brush doesn't work that well when enlarged. On that size, maybe it was supposed to have some kind of detail...

But the background is incredible. Kudos for the sky, particularly.

f

Good seeing you're alive.

Personally, I don't think the (main) text fits - the font, I mean. That kind of calligraphic font is more appropriated to softer walls... and there you have an agressive-looking character, bleeding. They clash.

Also, "don't" has an apostrophe. (It isn't nice to leave typos on walls, after all!)

Fair use of the default brushes, I'd say.

f

omg wuschel im not ur frend but dats so 1337 lol hope u dun mind if I dunload it

+fav lolz0rz

(Although simple and plain, it's very clean and well executed, easy on the eyes. As usual, good job.)

f

Now you just need to start working on oversized resolutions. XD (It's a questio of practice; I already make 1600x1200 walls under a 1024x768 resolution. So, go for that and conquer the world, man! XD)

Good use of Shinta's brushes. Something feels weird about the girl's hair, though... dunno what, but something in it bothers me >_<

f

The perspective is strange... the windmill seems to be a miniature, too near of the character... and the same goes for the mountains.

By itself, the mill doesn't look too bad, though.

The motion blur in the feathers gives a strange feel... dunno.

The sky is okay, but I particularly like the grass.

The character could get some color enhancing, though.

f

Wow, that's a great wallpaper, no doubt.

The clouds are particularly impressive, I'd say. The text is nice, too. His left wing has a funny border, though, methinks.

f

Those ~8 squarey shining spots in the upper part of the wall don't really look good... I wonder if the wall would become better without them?

There's a slight default-screened-yellow aura around the characters... it's distracting. personally, I'd take it down.

The scan quality isn't perfect, but is good enough, so no real complaints here.

The fire looks somewhat plain, maybe it'd look better with some soft-layered texture? Dunno.

I don't really understand what they're stepping into. Is it lava? If so, it needs work, since it feels like it's some kind of cloth, or something. Also, the faded whitey thing over it (Hi, my English vocabulary sucks XD) stands out too much, it should be somewhat orangey/yellowish in order to blend more, imho.

f

I agree with ShiNN, ipsis litteris.

But, what I really wanted to say is... category is Operation Sanctuary.

f

As happens with plenty of your walls, it looks pretty in the small thumb.

This one has, as always, plenty of flaws, though.

First, in the top right part... that opaque white thing. If it's supposed to be light, it isn't supposed to be opaque... also, if that's light, what's its source? And why is it even there, if it's, supposedly, night?

The interaction of the character and the floor is odd. It's like she's just... there. Maybe, making her look like she's sat over the clouds would be more effective.

The pillars are horribly blurry.

The feathers are realistic brushes, and don't really fit. They should be animesque, methinks.

The title is unimpressive and boring.

Sigh.

f

Yes, it is mainstream. But it's still pretty, nevertheless.

That moon is odd, though... and the main title has a rather rough feeling that doesn't quite fit the atmosphere of the wall, imho.
